Nonprofit Bilingual Website Rebuild

Overview

After an unrecoverable failure caused by fragmented, uncoordinated management, I rebuilt the official digital presence of a Bangladeshi humanitarian nonprofit serving both international donors and in-country stakeholders — establishing clean ownership and deployment discipline as a foundation.

The stack is managed WordPress on WP Engine (custom theme and plugin) fronted by Cloudflare for registrar, DNS, and CDN. AI was the primary build method: Claude Code for targeted theme/plugin edits over SFTP, and Claude in Chrome for live DOM inspection and QA. Polylang delivers true English/Bengali parity with clean, non-encoded URLs, and a custom post type holds a transparent historical record of grant-funded activity.

Impact

• Restored a previously unrecoverable site onto a governed, single-owner pipeline, with fully bilingual architecture and a publicly transparent grant record.
• Six years of fragmented grant data (~BDT 10.6M across twelve categories) consolidated into one reconciled workbook with discrepancy flags; the foundation's 31-article constitution translated into publish-ready English.
• The result is a two-language nonprofit site maintainable by a single operator at minimal cost.
